Vanilla Bean Sponge Cake
We would like to introduce you to a Vanilla Bean Sponge Cake Recipe by Cesy at Cesy Can Cook, that we hope you will enjoy. Great for birthdays and small events. Mayhap a husband will try it to surprise his special person! Works great with cupcakes also. Enjoy with your favorite frosting or buttercream.
Time : 50 min including 40 min bake time
- 2 Cup all purpose flour
- 2 Cup granulated white sugar
- 2 Tsp baking powder
- 1/4 Tsp salt
- 1 Cup milk
- 4 eggs
- 1 Stick of Unsalted Butter OR 8 TBPS.
- 1 Vanilla Bean or 1 TSP. Vanilla Paste or Extract
Directions :
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
- Sift flour, baking powder, salt and set aside
- Beat eggs at high speed until they reach ribbon stage
- Add sugar slowly and mix until well combined for about 40 seconds
- Heat milk and butter together in microwave or stove
- Turn off mixer and add flour, then mix on medium speed until well combined DO NOT OVER MIX
- In a separate bowl add milk and butter
- Whisk and add Vanilla
- Add in the batter mixture to milk and butter slowly and whisk after each addition
- Do not over mix
- Bake it for 40 Minutes and check for doneness by inserting a knife or toothpick
